About us

The "Cantine Cecconi s.n.c." was founded in 1980, in consequence of new trading organization of "Fattoria di Polvereto" farm, which belongs to Cecconi family from two generations. Cellars and lands are situated in Montespertoli, a little town next to Florence, denominated "Città del Vino" ("Wine Town"). 

The altitude is approx 300 metres a.s.l.. Lands extend theirselves through hill versant which has calcareous origins: mostly with marly lands, ideal to grow vines and olives; and they cover for a total surface of 48 ectares from which 14 to vines, 8 to olive-trees, and the rest is fitted to be sown and woodland. In the last years the firm has been made great investments to improve products quality, conforming to a modern and rational wine-making: new vineyards - taking care in the choice of only selectioned vine stumps - as well as storage and bottling equipementswhich suit last innovations in oenologica field. To complete, the cellars are equipped with several stainless steel wine reservois and oak casks to age it, for a total capacity of approx. 5000 hectolitres. Technological innovation together with historical tuscan grape-growing permit to obtain high quality wines, completing the works of Nature.
Cantine Cecconi s.n.c. besides trading in exclusiveness products of "Fattoria di Polvereto", bottles and trades other typical tuscan wines, extending the offer to several commercial fields.
